If it ends up being a tight end of season and it ends up coming down to goal difference, we're screwed!

  2. Avatar de @claudioaronica5409

It's inconclusive. Take it as it comes.

  3. Avatar de @bigbidnes

The system is brilliant it works and its gets results. The attack is interestimg in the fact it NEVER launches a counter attack but always plays a slow possesion based route to goal. This is tetz defending whilst attacking, reducing the transitions and being able to win the ball back high up because everyone is set. Its beautiful Dan and ugly.

  4. Avatar de @Makaveligunner

The system is not designed to entertain anybody. It's designed to be effective and drain teams, we just have to cope with it.

  5. Avatar de @Wadey-T

If it ain't broke don't fix it! I'll take the W's and trophies over "exciting" football all day! Seen great football for years and won nothing, it was painful! Afc fans have amnesia

  6. Avatar de @Naim2551

Dan get well soon bro always top content as Liverpool fan I tune in a lot, I think your system isn’t getting the best out of your attack especially when you play for 1-0s a lot really Arsenal should be peppering teams 3-0 4-1 but Arteta isn’t that manager you didn’t really replace Sanchez or Van Persie who were lethal gunman who won you games alone now your attack is disjointed and scrambling chances and wasteful and selfish our attack isn’t always fluid but we have man ready to take it by the scruff of their neck to get us the win like Isak vs Brentford right time we needed him he shows up 🙂

  7. Avatar de @IanMoone-t2o

Tbh Arsenal have been very lucky with teams being toothless in good chances against them. Also ref things have gone there way, few penalties and cards that should’ve happened. It won’t last tbh, think it’s a bit naive for Arsenal fans to comfortably say they’ll win the league atm! Just my view so don’t start crying on this post I won’t reply

  8. Avatar de @mmlk314

It's horrendous to watch. I get your point. But good lord.

  9. Avatar de @mmlk314

There's no joy except Odegaard which is not good enough against a back 11.

  10. Avatar de @ramair9726

Dan, as unpopular as he is with our fans right now, Greame Souness makes another excellent point about our midfield. None of our midfielders will make a one touch immediate pass forward to our strikers. Which leaves them at a massive disadvantage for space.

  11. Avatar de @Papoose316

The system makes us a brilliant team. We don’t have shootouts. We don’t pile players forward aimlessly. We ensure we are defensively astute all over the pitch. If we didn’t play teams who fear us we would score more goals etc. Look at the chance created for Rice that he skyed over. THAT IS OUR STYLE. We do need better options on the left and upfront but you are making a mountain out of a molehill.

Then we could take apart Bayern Munich and Everyone will be scratching their head again 😎

I think it's a combination of System and Quality. Our system is just not designed for Gyokeres' strengths. He's forced to adapt and struggling. Regarding quality, when our attackers DO shoot from outside the box, it's mostly over the bar or wide. As great as Saka has been for us in the Arteta era, a few games ago when he was clean through 1v1 with the keeper I just knew he would not score. Henry, Wrighty etc could hit the target with a blindfold on, either scoring or forcing a save. The Madueke type goal against Forest used to be the norm for our strikers simply because they had the ability to do it. That's why we must strive for a clinical type, like all the elite attacking teams have eg Cheaty, Bayern, PSG, Barca etc. These teams rarely fluff their lines or miss the target.

  14. Avatar de @ammareno

The 2022/23 season proves Arteta can play fluent exciting attacking football, but it left us open to better teams and City spanked us twice that season… thats when Arteta flipped and went hard to beat
so youre right Dan, it IS the system…. hope you get better soon

  15. Avatar de @joebloggs71-v5x

The attack really isn’t stacked, it’s actually a terrible front 3, Arsenal have got worse this season so weird selling both martinelli and trossard

  16. Avatar de @wezzbird9441

Firstly Dan hope you soon feel better mate. Me & Mr W are both poorly with a flu đŸ˜· virus atm so sympathise ❀ completely & appreciate the great content as always. Think it’s the primarily the system but also feel more quality wide & upfront would undoubtedly help but as other people have mentioned Arteta slowly has stifled our offensive flair to cement a defensive solidity so I have to say I’m a bit torn too as I feel we have the players that can play more offensively minded football if he would take the handbrake off at times.

  17. Avatar de @JWRame

Brighton can have 10 maduekes and gyokeres and still play attractive football. It comes down to the willingness to do so.

  18. Avatar de @anthonywhite2170

All i glean from this is that some Arsenal fans are just as miserable when we win as they are when lose. It's why the media have our glass half empty fanbase by the bo**ox.

  19. Avatar de @robw9991

Omg bang on with the front 3 Dan. Merihno is the best finisher at the club at the moment. Sad as that sounds. Give him a run + Dowman 💯

  20. Avatar de @joeyocean6826

    Fell asleep watching it tbh.

  21. Avatar de @dibdabdod

Arteta out gang is raising there heads 😅😅😅

  22. Avatar de @mohauT85

Dan, love Lee Judges' reaction : "Should've brought a blanket" and bed to sleep for the 1st half. Why we keep wasting the 1st halves in matches ? After 5 minutes I changed channel to AC Milan v Atalanta that was a far better match. Love Albert's reaction : "this style of play will continue as long as Arteta is manager".

  23. Avatar de @juu44waan

Even Odegaard hasn't be great, why not shake up the entire front 4. Captain Gabriel (or Captain Merino as Arteta seems to favor as Captain lately), and ROTATE Eze in his best position. He wears #10 for a reason!

  24. Avatar de @footbalTalk84

Arsenal are so BORING to watch. Ruined Eze and Gyokeres.

  25. Avatar de @franklingoodwin

Dowman is 16. He's not a long term solution this season, so starting him would probably hurt both him and the team. Is it me who's crazy thinking we shouldn't be playing 16 year olds over England Internationals. If we're not careful Dowman will end up like Saka in the last couple of seasons because we expected him to carry the team at a young age, worse still he could end up another Jack Wilshere. Here's where people say "but Yamal…" .Yamal plays in La Liga which is a slower and less physical league. If he played every game in the Premier League when he was 16 he'd probably already be picking up serious injuries

  26. Avatar de @faye4778

Complaining every day. Support the team with gratitude. Come January we will buy a winger and striker.

  27. Avatar de @Norman.ray.e

7 years of building a team of low quality players, he only got lucky to win the league last season, Wenger wasn't given the funding but at least he managed to sign ozil and sanchez who were better players, very very boring, side ways, back wards passing of the ball, the players are very slow

  28. Avatar de @Reynoldsest86

The system mate how can Gyokeres be smashing goals in for the national team yet struggling for the Arsenal it's the system for me.

  29. Avatar de @Ellis5star

Fortunately Forest didn't have Gibbs White

  30. Avatar de @thomasgundersen8975

Imo the best parameter you can get is how they perform at the national team : Merino, world champion and scores a lot of important goals despite his few minutes(always a sub). Victor, scored 4 goals in 4 matches in the national league recently. Martin had 4 assists in 4 matches in National league recently and i would claim he was Arsenals best player during the world cup. Saka plays better for the national team than for Arsenal and Eze is always in the England squad which is not easy to get into. Havertz, Germanys preferred striker, which tells you something.
100 % the system and every offensive Arsenal player stagnates in Artetas system.

  31. Avatar de @Jwilcox89

It’s probably a bit of both to be honest. Our attacking recruitment has been poor Havertz and was brought as a midfielder and ended up upfront as he’s slightly less shit there. Our approach to games is then always going to lean on the defence as the attack isn’t good enough. I don’t think individuals should be able to hide behind that either, Eze looking like he’s on a beach stroll every game is on him not a system or anything but him. Regardless of what we think about the system we do need more quality. Peps system wouldn’t work without KDB or silva ect we need better and which I think will allow us to change the approach

  32. Avatar de @thearsenalmisfit2414

Yesterday was another game that we looked piss poor in. It was a lucky win off a deflected shot that more than likely was not on target. We were headed for 0 shots on goal but for that deflection.
A club with this amount of talent should never be held to 0 or 1 shot on target.
We move the ball too slowly up the pitch, and when we do move up the pitch, it is 90% of the time up the wing, which makes us so perdictable. Once we do get the ball down the pitch, it is always a cross
into the middle to a center forward who more than likely is not there because he was just playing next to the CBs. When Gyokeres is playing, he makes runs up the middle, but the ball always goes down the wings
Making his runs in between the lines pointless.
There is nothing good about how our attack works, and that is starting to show on the face of the forwards themselves. I could not believe my eyes when, near the end of the game, both Saka and Timber got beat to the inside, and both just walked back into the play instead of running flat out to help. Things are so bad that even the back line is getting frustrated with what is going on and venting their frustration with the attacking players.
Things are not well in this club right now mentally.
Arteta has had 3 years to find a way to deal with the low block and has failed, and I'm not even sure he has tried. I have seen no difference in the way we have been dealing with low blocks today from what we were doing 3 seasons ago. We have scored just 11 goals for 1.57 goal a game that will net us just 59 goals this season. Brighton has scored 23 goals for 3.2 goals agame and 124 goals for the season.
The fact that in this last game Forest had more shots on target than our 1, they could easily have the same luck we had, and it would have been 2 points lost. It will happen sooner or later and it will cost us the title as it did in 23/24 when Arteta ball was introduced and similar results were made. This is not sustainable.

  33. Avatar de @sandip_deol

all these comments about arteta ruining attacking forwards yet we don't complain when Luis Enrique got rid of mbappe and got karva and doue to run back and defend.. maybe we just haven't purchased the right attacking players.. we lack speed and players of high technical calibre in attack and that's what the teams better than us have.. we need better signings in attack but the market is not saturated .. if the system is the problem.. finishing 2nd 2nd and 1st doesn't suggest that..

  34. Avatar de @BjornAgain76

I feel I have a manflu brewing listening to this

  35. Avatar de @levinebogosi

I see Saka becoming worse, in my opinion he is finished…I am sorry..

  36. Avatar de @flexxdamone8878

The simple fact is,the cone man is not that good of a coach, especially offense

  37. Avatar de @BourneHunt

It’s most definitely by design the system. Going rogue is dropping the wingers and playing two behind the striker as CAMs, Eze and Odegaard together could provide the creativity we need.

  38. Avatar de @TheEljefe20

It is clear from how we play the answer is both. We lack quality in attack but we also do not play in a way that makes our attack look good.

Gyokeres is a perfect example. Is he world class? No.

Do we at all play to his strengths? Absolutely not.

  39. Avatar de @frankchezy

Only Coventry we scored in the first half? So when did Havertz equalize against Chelsea? You’re so full of rubbish. Win the premier league and lost the champions league on penalties, and you have fools like this set up a camera everyday just to criticize the team after having one of the best start to a season in our history. Dan Potts please talk about something else. You’re getting boring now.

  40. Avatar de @RJAFCNorthL4ever56

Dan Odegarrd slows the team down! & Havertz is everywhere apart from in the box & when it does come to him he fumbles! We won the league without both these players but Arteta insists on forcing them into the team whatever the display & lack of consistency

  41. Avatar de @Martin36544

It's the system. It should be called the 'Dream Wrecker'. Any forward player in this system spends too mcuh time thinking backwards… Never forwards with any risk at all

  42. Avatar de @ThierryHenry-bo6gb

    Supermarket boycott 28th October!

  43. Avatar de @Hamza-ch5lw

I wanna see us platform Eze & Viktor, give them a few games. With the strength of our defence and midfield, we can indulge Ebz in the #10. I know the season has only just started but it feels like we are overplaying Rice already. Also a word for Konsa, the man is a beast ! Can't believe we aren't missing big willy. We are definitely in heaven bro, but I'm still waiting to see us play with serious champions swagger, hoping that starboy has a season filled with output and moments that remind the world of his quality.

  44. Avatar de @jmy871

This is a concern but this is fixable Dan. It’s whether the club do the right thing in Jan and sign at least two attackers.

They can’t enjoy what’s RIGHT in front of them.

Let’s see how long they last whilst “their team” keeps winning.

Lol here we go again complain complain complain 😂. You lot are muppets

  48. Avatar de @d_tbrit8439

It's the system but it won us the League after 22 years, got us to a Champions League final for only the 2nd time in our history & won another Community Shield so its hard to argue it doesn't work. We had a good attack & bad defence for decades and never won a league title & struggled to qualify for Champions League. We now have a good defence with a bad attack so we are playing to our strengths which is unfortuantely very hard on the eye to watch. The biggest frustration is we have gone into this season with an attack even worse than the one we had last season!

  49. Avatar de @tris87don16

    💯It’s the system

  50. Avatar de @christiancamacho8954

Let me tell you what’s true Dan. You’re a whiny fan who is difficult to please. Last season you complained after most games as well, even though we won most of them. The only thing that will please you is for us to win playing Klopp style football. You don’t understand reality
